Herculaneum

Herculaneum is known for the archaeological excavations of the Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD; along with the city of Pompeii. Both are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After nearly 2000 years thanks to the excavations began with the rule of the Bourbons, until you get to the recent 90s, it was established that the architecture and artifacts of various home from Roman times, have been preserved beautifully.

Unlike Pompeii, Herculaneum is smaller therefore the visit take less time.
